Welcome to Therapy Avenue, a private practice based near St Neots and Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. I offer Eyemovement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), the Safe and Sound Protocol and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to treat autonomic disregulation, anxiety, depression, PTSD, panic, OCD, anger, behavioural difficulties and much more. I work with adults and children, both face to face or online.

I’m Kerry Lilley, a fully qualified and BABCP accredited therapist with over 16 years experience, I can help you understand why you feel the way you do and give you the tools to improve your everyday life and your future.
In the last few years I have seen a massive increase in children needing support, often because it’s so difficult to access other services via health and education due to a lack of resources and services available. As a result I also regularly work with children of all ages who may be experiencing difficulties coping with day to day activities which can result in behavioural problems either at home and/or school. Diagnosed or suspected ASD, ADHD, PDA, PANDAS to name just a few, can create disregulation and subsequent sensitivities can occur to change, sound, textures or understanding societal norms causing endless difficulties including anger, anxiety and possibly isolation. Many parents have reported significant improvements for their child and subsequently the family as a whole, after engaging in the Safe and Sound Protocol. This may be the most rewarding part of my job.
I did not set out to work with a specific kind of person or have a specialism in my private practice. However around 60% of my clients tend to be women aged between thirty and fifty years old. Many worry endlessly, feel stressed and frequently tell themselves ‘I’m not good enough’. Some have lost their zest for life, often with little understanding of why!
As a result they are not living a life that makes them feel happy, confident or empowered to make change. These feelings may have been triggered by past traumatic events, abusive relationships, life changes, or the challenges of juggling life, family and work. These feelings could be a new, seemingly unexplained experience or they may have been around for decades.
Does this sound like you? Even if it doesn’t, whatever you are going through, I may be able to help. I will provide you with the time and space to talk, help you understand how and why your difficulties began. Above all, I will help you understand why, despite your best efforts, these feelings continue and how you can reduce them moving forwards.
Most importantly, I will support you to work towards your goals and create the future you deserve. We will work as a team: you know yourself better than anybody and I know how to help you.
Just one call or email will bring you one step closer to feeling better.
